I have decided to try and delve into some names by thinking of songs that link within my project, a promotional piece of media to boost interest in a Netflix trailer yet I have to think about this tactfully because there's a lot of ways to go wrong within this. For my first thoughts I was thinking of delving into the design and how this trailer may appear to the masses and making it new and flashy. Having a certain aesthetic would make it more alluring.
Reds, blacks and oranges mix well. Our project is surrounding a case of someone who suffers from DID an entire article and true crime case which is why highlighted and striking colours this case, is true to fact and can be read about in these links:
It wasn't all too difficult to find a specific genre to fit amongst this theme because it ties into horror, the fact that it lies in truth means that there's some aspect of surreal horror which really adds to this story. Yet by taking creative liberties I think that the truth can be exaggerated somewhat.
The sort of reds, oranges are a theme that fits extremely well with vampire's I think that this color scheme would go well with what sort of media I want to produce since it's heightened by the fact that it's shrouded in mystery.
Here are some of the names that I came up with whilst thinking of my project:
Smoke and mirrors
Revolution 1981
Shadow of a doubt
The alter
most of these seem to fit with a theme, although the second one is merely a reference to a song.
Smoke and mirrors I think fits within the theme brilliantly because it holds a feeling of mystery, and is also a reference to this
I also think that this project would benefit greatly from a soundtrack.
However, there are also some trailers loosely based upon the same true crime theme.
Trailers usually seem to use a lot of grainy blues to heighten the atmosphere which builds tension, adding a lineup and it also heightens the emotion that these characters seem to go through because there's a solemn feeling.
