these are most of the images that have been documented from when we did storyboarding as a group individually we were made to assess and develop ideas together as a conglomerate. This pushed a further shared narrative amongst the story that we want to tell and further explains the themes.
These notes were essential to finding out what sort of cinemetography to implement in this project by diving into most of these ideas and exploring the possibilities of what to draw and who to draw it excentuates most of these drawings because of how expressive they are.
Ordered together it was a group discussion to pinpoint exactly what the story follows and by exploring these ideas and enhancing both of the themes it gives and idea of what exactly this project is about. I love the fact that this gives a crystal clear idea of what the themes are surrounding this type of project. Exploring what types of media to take advantage of when taking these shots as well, by using our main character and actor highlighting her character and how she would be positioned and would react to certain situations. This gives a clear view of the characters and why they matter.
This follows a cyclical structure by ending and starting on credits and a logo, to showcase between and subtly break the immersion that this is a mix between fiction and non fiction which gives our project the edge it deserves by diving into both of these themes. The drawing style that I chose I wanted to dive into the edge of most true crime and used some of the conventions of shots that typically show up in these types of programming.
A close up of these drawings display both my stylistic choice. Also this illustrates how we moved some of these notes around to follow the right story structure by not making it too cerealised as that would spoil a lot of the plot points. The point of a trailer is to elude to what happens and explore these ideas in depth is the movies job. Most of these notes intentionally do not include development of this character, yet makes her interesting enough to follow along which is why groupwork is essential to communicate ideas properly because it makes the project much better in quality.
Some of these shots show a gothic theme alongside the vampiric type symbolisms as in her character being heavily involved with vampires which is why she decided to do the murder.
Moving these postics along this structure was very helpful because it gave us some time to order and reorder most of the work and how to make a proper trailer.
a beginning a middle and end.
This picture shows how we as a group worked to organise our ideas by doing so it made it more easier to follow alongside the brief story and what sort of ideas that are needed to convey to really make it more edgier, following alongside a murder and what this illustrates is how essential team work is to make a project doable.
