these are the storyboards that I completed within the span of time given, I also managed to outline a clear story which is important to excell the writing. I included realistic set of shots that will be provided to make this story interesting I want to be in charge of the cinematography since most shots which look like paintings are brilliant because it gets the viewer more immersed with a clear picture, brought upon by the camera.
This being the last shot most of these drawings aren't done with any coherency involved yet they both are provided with a list of things or instructions which come with the drawings that are provided. It also includes a bunch of shots of the effects and graphics included to try and further the narrative which goes alongside the theme such as a court hearing shot, in junction to the close ups I drew of most of the characters faces to excentuate the emotion conveyed in most of these scenes so the characters can really feel for what they are going through.
I was trying to go for a rough outline of what is happening throughout this trailer including the newspaper shots, the court and police shots to give the viewers a rundown of what to expect in this show. A lot of these shots shown here are to further exxagerate the emotion carried out in particular scenes for example how the killer is shown and her motives, I was a fan of drawing these since exploring what characters do in depth whilst being subtle and more implied is very much enhanced by how most of the scenes play out and the layout. The layout being a very straightforward structure which is a simple story meant to display the main point of the trailer being a horror/thriller trailer it's main goal is to shock or scare the audience whilst also making them intrigued in said piece of media. Because this trailer follows alongside a real life event I drew inspiration from Tracey wiggins herself her goal in the trailer is mainly to be the protagonist that's really the antagonist already implementing an ounce of subversion into this production.
The start of these storyboards I wanted to illustrate how this begins with tracey wiggins and what she is going through she will also narrate this entire thing to express how she feels and her struggles which are important to understand her character better. Like the scenes in which she stalks her victims, also the shots where she's with her friends to better have an idea of who is involved within this trailer. Shots of her face which includes the setting being in worden park yet there's also the feeling that it would be difficult to shoot at night because most of these shots are included in dimly lit lighting which will be a problem to replicate.
The movement is also on the side, to display where and how to move the camera is important because the motion actually brings a lot more emotion to a scene which is very much needed in a horror trailer for example a lot of shaky cam makes chase scenes a lot more lively and has the audience on their seats for what's to happen next this is important because the key focus in every single movie or film production is immersion, to keep the audience to believe that this is a based on reality event and to f
These shots illustrate whats going on and happening to the victim throughout which shows the shock and horror of being stabbed, the still camera movement which will also be accompanied by a shot of the killer bringing in her weapon to intimidate her victim. I didn't include more of the graphic shots because I wanted this scene to be left to interpretation of what she planned to do by rectifying and retconning some of the story it stays true to faith which is how I imagined it progressing forth.
The shot of her cigeratte is supposed to be quite artistic because it visualises the moon, smoke showing up in reference to the title of this trailer because of how she murders her victims and burys them. This I feel would add a lot more atmosphere to this trailer because it displays an amount of coherent thematic purpose, adding more quality and symbolism to this production which intrigues the audience more and makes them question this production reeling them in.
Shots of a black screen and her distress of being caught I wanted to show an amount of emotion not possible with a flat layout so I drew her head down, to display an amount of sadness. These dynamic shots are the reason why this storyboard is three dimensional I wanted to make this a lot more unique and special to further enhance the production and what shots to use this is also important to make this a more brilliant production. I also tried to make the black screen element more interesting by including letters yet that shot was actually a transition to where she gets caught.
